As an Imaging Engineer, you will be hands-on with the most advanced medical imaging equipment in the healthcare industry. This includes: Installs · Inspections · Troubleshooting · Performing Repairs · Calibrating · and Verifying the performance of complex and intricate medical imaging equipment.
Specifically--we work with GE equipment, in a specialty area such as, MRI, CT, Cath- Labs, Radiation Oncology, and all other areas of medical imaging modalities.
A day in the life: Everyday is different and so is every customer. Our customers are hospitals and other healthcare facilities and medical offices that use imaging equipment. This means you will be working alongside of doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals who rely on this equipment daily. You're the one who keeps it all running optimally. There are days where you're very busy and because you're good, and the equipment is good, there are also some days that are not so busy.
One of our most successful engineers... is surprisingly NOT someone who came from the industry. Rather, he was someone who had a long history and passion for learning how things work, especially advanced electronic equipment. Having a curious mind as to the way things work is one of the most valued aptitudes our engineers possess. What comes next would be specific experience working on imaging equipment. However, for our entry-point positions, specific equipment training is available.
Ways you can be successful... Perform Performance Assurance (PA) inspections periodically with excellence. Perform scheduled maintenance, operation verification procedures (OVP) on medical imaging equipment with attention to detail and high-quality standards.
Serve customer by working effectively with healthcare personnel, sub-contractors, and team members through excellence in your communications, documention, management of inventory, continually learning, and adhering to regulatory compliance.
The Experience You Bring
Typically, at least 3 years of experience in repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of medical imaging equipment or related technology. But underlying all of this, you have a technically driven mind and a passion understanding how things go together and work, specifically advanced electronics.
You bring excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and can patiently diffuse difficult situations and exude confidence in your abilities and in the abilities of your team and company.
You have a valid driver license (required). Travel requirements vary and may include daily travel and home evenings or overnight travel to customer sites.
